Dr Melissa Holmes (FRCPA) is an anatomical pathologist who works at Histopath Diagnostic Specialists, a private independent laboratory, in Sydney. She is a member of the RCPA Anatomical Pathology Advisory committee, RCPA Informatics Advisory committee, Chairs the Digital Pathology subcommittee, and is the convenor for the Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology for Digital and Quantitative Pathology.

She is a conjoint senior lecturer at Western Sydney University and is currently involved in a number of research projects and grants in gynaecological pathology in association with the Lowy Cancer Research Centre, University of New South Wales. Her other interests are in digital pathology, surgical pathology and bringing AI into routine practice in a safe and ethical way.
