Ulysses G.J. Balis, MD, Fellow AIMBE is the A. James French Professor of Pathology Informatics at the University of Michigan, with additional roles as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and Informatics Fellowship Program Director. He also serves as the conference organizer for the annual Pathology Informatics Summit meeting series, as hosted by the Association for Pathology Informatics. Dr. Balis has longstanding interests in digital image analysis, computational pathology, AI-driven workflow, and the clinical deployment of digital pathology in high volume settings.
